Lindsay Soltice is an Edmonton-born stilt performer who has been stiltwalking for NSC since 2017– performing all across Alberta at corporate events, seasonal celebrations, and festivals such as the Edmonton Folk Music Festival. As their main profession, they work as a nurse at the Royal Alexandra Hospital and care for patients sick with coronavirus during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lindsay is also a Board Member at the NSC.

CJ

CJ Pirtle is an 18-year-old actor/performer from Sturgeon County, Alberta. They graduated from Victoria School of the Arts in 2020 and are now enrolled at NAIT for radio and television broadcasting. CJ has always had a passion for learning new things and new ways to perform, so stiltwalking was a perfect opportunity to do both. CJ is very new to NSC, as they joined in July 2021, the newest addition to the team.

Sharon

Sharon

Sharon has been a performing stiltwalker with the National Stiltwalkers of Canada (NSC) for over 20 yrs and is one of the group’s longest standing members. Sharon’s love for stiltwalking began with the International Amateur Athletic Federation (IAAF) World Games that took place in 2001. She was convinced to learn the art of stiltwalking for the World Games after being talked into joining a training session by her friend Sarah who also continues to stiltwalk with the NSC. Sharon has performed all across Alberta at various festivals and corporate events. Her biggest highlight with the NSC was performing alongside country superstar Shania Twain during the Grey Cup halftime show in 2002.

Jayne

Jayne

Jayne has over a decade of experience as a stilt performer with the National Stiltwalkers of Canada (NSC), and after serving several years as a board member, she is the current President of the NSC board. Previously, she trained in and assistant-coached various Aerial Arts, trampoline and prop manipulation at the Atlantic Cirque School of Circus Arts in Halifax. Jayne recently completed her studies in Biological Sciences and Psychology at the University of Alberta, and nowadays mostly finds herself juggling multiple jobs and responsibilities instead of balls and clubs! She is excited to share her love of stiltwalking with a new generation of NSC artists and looks forward to keeping you and your family perpetually entertained. In addition to serving as the President, Jayne is a performer with the NSC.

Rory is a university student with experience in improv and acting. This is his first experience with stiltwalking.

Camilla Turnball is a stiltwalker with the National Stiltwalkers of Canada. This is her first year of stiltwalking. She graduated from Victoria School of the Arts in 2020, where she focused on acting and directing.
